Pope ends US trip with mass in Philadelphia

Pope Francis has ended his highly successful trip to the United States by celebrating mass in Philadelphia.

Thousands turned up to see Francis bring an end to the World Meeting of Families with 150 nationalities represented.

The pope focused on the value of “little gestures” such as eating together and the affection shown between grandparents and grandchildren and brothers and sisters.

Earlier the pope met with victims of sexual abuse carried out by Catholic clergy.
