One of the most remarkable developments in European politics has been the election this month of long-time socialist Jeremy Corbyn as leader of the British Labor Party. Several hundred thousand mainly young people joined the party to vote just for him, and tens of thousands more have joined since his victory. In this interview, teleSUR’s Stephanie Kennedy speaks with Corbyn about his principles and plans. To begin with, he says his mandate is for “a different way of doing politics, is for democratic inclusion, is for open policy making, is for developing ideas from the grassroots.”
