150 World Leaders Gather for UN Summit

Leaders from 150 countries are gathering in New York for the 70th UN General Assembly and its Sustainable Development Summit. The meeting will set ambitious goals to eradicate extreme poverty by 2030, promote health and education, and combat climate change. Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) members will present their 2020 agenda, which contemplates bringing 70 million residents of the region out of poverty. teleSUR
