AI flight diverted to Kolkata Airport

A Hong Kong-bound Air India flight from Delhi carrying 216 passengers and 10 crew onboard made an unscheduled landing at the airport in Kolkata due to a technical problem early today (September 22), an Air India official said. The Dreamliner landed at the NSC Bose International Airport here at 2.15 AM, he said. While some passengers have been sent back to Delhi through alternative arrangements, others have been accommodated at local hotels. The plane is likely to depart from Kolkata on Tuesday evening at about 7.30 PM, he said.
