Interviews from Washington – Gail Walker of Pastors for Peace

Today our host Jorge Gestoso speaks with Gail Walker of Pastors for Peace, about what she sees as a new day in US-Cuba relations. As Pope Francis visits both countries, she hopes people will heed his message of love and mutual respect. Despite some blatant media distortions, hypocrisy over the human rights issue, and some politicians who still seek a regime change, Walker sees positive attitudes in ordinary people and even among some U.S. lawmakers who recognize the need to end the blockade. She stresses the benefits of improved relations for U.S. citizens in medicine and other areas of life. teleSUR.
