After being nominated 8 years in a row Jon Hamm finally won the Outstanding Lead Actor award for his portrayal of dysfunctional ad man Don Draper in the hit series Mad Men.The 44-year-old heartthrob got a standing ovation from the star-studded crowd as he was presented his very first Emmy.
The actor, who has recently split from his long-term girlfriend, thanked his partner of 18 years for her support while they were together. Joining Jon were cast mates, Christina Hendricks, who was nominated for best supporting actress for her role as Joan Holloway, January Jones and onscreen daughter Kiernan Shipka.
