Palestine: Rearrested Political Prison Launches New Hunger Strike
  • 9 years ago
Palestinian political prisoner Muhammad Allan has launched a second hunger strike. Allan, who was on a 66-day hunger strike that almost cost him his life was re-arrested Wednesday by Israeli security forces immediately after his release from a hospital. His hunger strike is to protest the Israeli practice of "administrative detention", whereby the detainee is "legally" held and jailed without charges or a trial.
