Japan's students at forefront of protests to defend pacifist constitution

In Japan, controversial security bills are expected to be made law this week. They will allow Japanese troops to fight alongside allies overseas for the first time since the end of World War II. It's a radical departure from the country's war-renouncing constitution. Students are among the many people who oppose the change, organising huge protests outside parliament in recent weeks. Their activism and commitment are challenging the notion that young Japanese don't care about politics.
