'Game of Thrones' actress hates 'gratuitous' sex scenes

The "Game of Thrones" star says she "can't stand" the kind of explicit sex scenes that have made the HBO show famous, according to Vulture.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, Clarke, who plays "Mother of Dragons" Daenerys Targaryen, said sex scenes should be more "subtle."
She explains her more modest tastes by saying, "I'm British."
She continued: "Most sex scenes you see in films or on TV are gratuitous and they're usually just to attract an audience.
... On screen, the subtler the better."
Vulture notes speculation that Clarke asked to stop doing topless scenes after the show's first couple seasons, where she performed in some of the not-so-subtle kinds of sex scenes.
