Migrant crisis in Europe: RIP Schengen?

Last week, Germany opened its arms and its borders to migrants. This week, Germany decided, well, the opposite. With nearly one million refugees expected to arrive this year on its soil, Berlin wants to share the burden with its European neighbours. France, for its part, has played mostly a secondary role, trying to forge a common front with Germany but effectively watching from the sidelines.
