Plot: Jagat Pratap Singh (Dilip Kumar), is the collector of a city named Anokhapur. He is an honest person and does everything as per the law. On the other hand, his son, Ravi (Sanjay Dutt), is a person who believes that law can be followed but upto a certain extent and hence takes law in his hands. Ravi's friend is murdered and maid is raped and murdered by a corrupt minister of Fisheries, Bhushannath Dharmendra Bhadbhole (Kader Khan) and his son, Kabza Kanhaiyalal (Anupam Kher). But with the help of his contacts, he is easily set free. Will Ravi again take law in his hands to give justice to his maid and friend? Will he be able to make his father understand that everything cannot happen with law and some things need to be done without the help of law?
