China zoo visitors worship turtles for longer lives

An unusual video has emerged from China of visitors engaging in a local custom of putting cash onto the shells of a group of turtles at a zoo - in the hope of a long life.

In the footage, filmed in Henan Province last month, children and adults alike crowd around to put notes and coins onto the animals' backs.

According to the zoo the four turtles, from Thailand, are said to be able to live for many years.
