Colombia – Santos Blames Venezuela for Shortages

President Juan Manuel Santos spoke out angrily against Venezuela and its socialist political model. “The Bolivarian Revolution is self-destructing,” he said, insisting that the border problems, including shortages, are made in Venezuela, not in Colombia. Before the border closure, the city of Cucuta was at the center of massive smuggling of subsidized food, fuel and medicine out of Venezuela. Now its local economy has come to a halt. teleSUR
