The UK government will not hesitate to strike at its own nationals in Syria if they're suspected of plotting attacks on British soil

The British government says it will not hesitate to carry out more drone strikes against ISIL militants who plan attacks on the United Kingdom

Yesterday parliament was told that two nationals had been killed in a strike in Syria based on intelligence reports that they had been plotting attacks on British soil.

“We will take this action where it’s absolutely necessary, where there is no other alternative way of preventing the armed attack”, said British Defence Secretary Michael Fallon. “And when we’ve done that then we’ll come to parliament as the prime minister did yesterday and explain the circumstances.”

But human rights groups like the Reprieve organisation have criticised the government’s actions.

“It’s not good enough to come to parliament after the event with what is effectively a prime ministerial assassination programme and just tell us all that everything is OK”, said the group’s Legal Director Kat Craig.

The two men killed in the attack were Ruhul Amin from Aberd
