A man completely paralyzed from the waist down was recently able to assert partial command over the movements of his legs and take numerous steps.

In 2010, Mark Pollock fell from a window, leaving him paralyzed from the waist down.
But recently, he was able to assert partial command over the movements of his legs and take thousands of steps. 
This amazing achievement was facilitated through a combination of a bionic suit and electric stimulation to the spinal nerves.
