The Raduga 3M80, 3M82 and Kh-41 Moskit / SS-N-22 Sunburn are even variants of the 4.5 ton of supersonic rocket-ramjet missile. This weapon is the primary armament of new destroyers Sovremennyy 956E class of PLA-N and is credited with a range between 50 and 120 nautical miles. More recently, it has been integrated in the Project 12421 Molniya class missile boats, which carry four rounds. A central air launch tunnel adapter allows Su-27/30 family fighters to perform a single round, and this setting was exhibited at the Su-33 navalised and more recently announced land based Su-35BM Flanker variants. A coastal defense variant labeled the Moskit and is in development, with a TEL second round based on the MZKT-7930 chassis. midcourse inertial guidance is complemented by a candidate for Altair radar active - there are no reports so far of ground attack derivatives. The missile is powered by a ramjet Turayevo 3D83 contrary subsonic anti-ship missiles Westerners like Harpoon and Exocet, the Moskit is a sea-skimmer supersonic. It can be programmed to fly a trajectory of high altitude to Mach 3, or Mar-skimming trajectory at Mach 2.2. If the sea clone mode is chosen, the missile is first detected by a warship under attack when it emerges at the horizon, at a distance of about 15 to 25 nm. This provides defenses on the ship about 25-60 seconds warning of time before impact. Gross speed Moskit makes it a difficult target for most defenses board. All variants use KTRV-Detal 3A-81E-01 radar altimeter series, similar to the design used in the Kh-59ME / AS-18 Kazoo capacity for engaging surface targets, including warships, transport and ACVS with speeds up 100 nodes. Ability to hit targets at up to 6 sea states, and low signature targets in states of up to 5 speeds of up to 20 m / s. The fire control system performs a self-test of pre-launch missiles, and missiles can manage and allocate up to 4 targets. The missile launch tubes can be deployed in a vase for up to 18 months without maintenance. The seeker missiles 3M-80E and 3M-80E1 has active and passive radar homing anti-radiation
The latest variant is the best Moskit MVE system: Ability to fly pre-programmed compounds profiles that include high and low altitude segments. Band in a profile of low altitude of up to 140 km.
