McDonald's has some new Happy Meal Toys based on the Littlest Pet Shop TV show, and we're going to show you how they work! Each toy is a bobblehead animal based on a character from the television show, and they have a base and background which you can flip over to change the scenery. Each bobble head comes with stickers too, so you can decorate the scene any way you want!
We also demonstrate how to link the different bobble heads together by connecting the bases, so you can create your own Littlest Pet Shop! The three characters that we discuss today are Russell Ferguson the Hedgehog, Buttercream Sunday the bunny rabbit, and Scout Kerry the Siamese cat. (The Happy meal toy for boys this month is based on the Skylanders Trap Team video game by Activision)
The Littlest Pet Shop is a children's animated TV show which airs on the Discovery Family channel (formerly the Hub network). The show is about a teenage girl named Blythe Baxter, who moves into an apartment in a large city which sits above a small pet store on the ground floor. Blythe quickly learns that she has the power to understand and talk to the animals in the "Littlest Pet Shop," and they go on adventure after adventure together, often to save their pet store from the big pet shop in town, which is threatening to put the Littlest Pet Shop out of business. Our kids especially love the Littlest Pet Shop theme song!
The TV show is based on the original Littlest Pet Shop series from 1995, which only ran for 40 episodes and was produced by Sunbow Entertainment.
There are many toys based on the Littlest Pet Shop by Hasbro, including the Blythe loves, Cutest Pets, Fairies, Teensies, Totally Talented and Walkables lines. These include Blythe dolls and pet animal plush toys, electronic toys and games, arts and crafts, and even a spa, dance club and pool playset! Almost all of your favorite pets have figures available, including Kora the fox, Bisa the lemur, Mackie the raccoon, Lolly the pig, Laura the mole, Minka the monkey, Meow Meow the cat, Ozzie the Turtle, Buttery the cow, Lola the kangaroo, Owen the otter, Zoe the dog, Saskya the seal, Feathers the bird, Oscar the Spaniel, Eliza the penguin, Oceana the octopus, Honey the badger, Ned the narwhal, Orna the beaver, Ling the panda bear, Gracie the deer, Dozer the sloth, Ross the bunny, Baa Baa the goat, Tinsley the bulldog, and Bingo the flying squirrel!
