Mexico: Evidence Shows Gov’t Ayotzinapa Investigation Flawed
  • 9 years ago
A review of the evidence in the Ayotzinapa case presented on Friday at the Miguel Agustin Pro Juarez Human Rights Center (Prodh) shows that the Mexican government’s investigation is plagued with errors and omissions. The evidence does not bear out the government’s claim that the students were abducted and incinerated. Prodh Deputy Director Santiago Navarro said that the government lost evidence, did not investigate some leads and failed to provide scientific proof to back up its claims. He said the Mexican Army and federal and local police knew of the students’ movements the night of the tragedy, but did nothing to prevent it. teleSUR
