While the Israeli and American governments are fighting it out in public over the Iran deal, security cooperation between the allies has been given a strong boost in the form of an important exercise between the Israeli and US Air Force. Dozens of Israeli pilots, navigators, and air force officers returned to Israel on Wednesday after participating in the "Red Flag" exercise held at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada. The joint training for the air forces involved day and night missions, and included aerial refueling, interceptions, escorts, strikes, and downed pilot rescues.
