US officials have spotted 5 Chinese military vessels off the coast of Alaska in the Bering Sea.
Three of them are combat ships, one is a supply boat, and the other is an amphibious craft.
Based on US government observations, the vessels are not presenting a threat, and no behavior indicating they intend to has been noted.
It is believed to be China’s first naval presence in the area.
