Kinetic, in partnership with MV Augusta, will bring some bikes of the latter in the Indian market. Probable models that are on the list for their journey to India from Italy may include the likes of Butale 800, Brutale 1090 and F4.
First to be brought through the CBU route in could well be the Brutale 1090. Powered by a 1078cc four-cylinder, four-stroke, 16-valve engine, the Brutale 1090 would be the most powerful bike to be sold in India under this partnership.
Following the Brutale 1090 would be the Brutale 800, which would compete in the market with the likes of Kawasaki Z800. If the Brutale 800 is brought through the CBU route then its price could be a letdown for bike lovers, but if it is manufactured in India, it could well turn this segment on its head.
The 998cc 192bhp Augusta F4 would probably the priciest of all the Augusta bikes in India. It would put the F4 in the big league of Yamaha YZF-R1, Aprilia’s RSV4 and BMW’s S 1000RR.
