Mexico: 81 Enforced Disappearances of Activists Reported

Despite pledges by Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto to reduce violence and improve the country's human rights record, NGOs charge that little has been done. Social organizations report that since Peña Nieto took office three years ago, 81 activists have been forcible disappeared. During his predecessor Felipe Calderon's six year term, 51 activists were forcibly disappeared. teleSUR
