Suhakam to probe alleged mismanagement by Felda

The Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam) has pledged to investigate alleged mismanagement by the Federal Land Development Authority (Felda), causing settlers to suffer from heavy loan debts and widening income gaps among Felda settlers.
The watchdog will meet with the Felda management and visit the affected estates to begin its investigations into the settlers' disgruntlement and woes, Suhakam commissioner Muhammad Sha'ani Abdullah said today.
