Jais raid: MCA wants S'gor DAP excos to resign

Selangor MCA has demanded that DAP's state executive councillors resign from their posts for their silence over the recent Jais raid on a church in Petaling Jaya.
Public complaints bureau chief Theng Book slammed the excos, saying it is their job to speak up for the people as elected representatives.
He said it is hypocritical of DAP leaders to hide behind a gag order imposed by Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, and accused them of trying to distance themselves from the inconvenient truth.
"How can they (obey) a gag order? They say they believe in freedom of speech... When there is something for them to make noise, they make noise, but when it comes to work, they don't do (their work). The DAP excos should resign," he told a press conference in Petaling Jaya today.
