DAP: Selangor addresses used to register phantom voters

How would you feel if you received a letter sent to your home address but you are not the recipient the letter is intended for?

Especially if that letter starts off by wishing you a Happy New Year and goes on to say how grateful you should be for everything Barisan Nasional has done for the country?

Worried, the affected residents have brought the matter to DAP in Selangor.

With 40 such cases so far from Kuala Kubu Bharu, Kampung Tunku State Assemblyperson, Lau Weng San fears that the addresses are being used to register phantom voters in the state.

At a press conference this morning at the Selangor DAP HQ, Lau showed three letters from Selangor BN addressed to an individual with a Malay name to a house occupied by a Chinese family in Taman Pesara.

Kuala Kubu Bharu DUN Chinese new village liaison officer, Chng Boon Lai confirmed by saying since the house was built in 1980, it was only occupied by a Chinese family.

He then added that, he's certain the addresses are being used by certain parties to register people as voters in Kuala Kubu Bharu.
