Roof of RM270 million stadium collapses, again

Like Humpty Dumpty, the construction crew at the Sultan Mizan Stadium in Kuala Terengganu is finding it hard to put it back together again.

The roof structure of the stadium collapsed again this morning for the second time since it fell apart in June 2009, while repair works were being carried out for the initial collapse.

According to Star Online, the incident happened at 11.30am. Five workers were reported injured in the incident, with 3 of them in critical condition.

The RM270 million Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium, the biggest stadium in the east coast, was built to host the 2008 Sukma Games and was only operational for a year.
