Bajaj to Stop Pulsar 200 NS Sales, Replace it with AS 200

Pulsar fans would be heartbroken because now it seems certain that the reign of the legendary Pulsar range of Bikes is coming to an end. Bajaj had decided to stop production of the Pulsar 200 NS about a couple of months back and now it would discontinue its sales after the end of the festive season this year. Bajaj plans to replace the Pulsar with the AS 200 which has been doing somewhat better in the market.
We believe, this decision by Bajaj was conveyed to its dealers earlier this year when it launched the AS 200. Both the Pulsar 200 NS as well as the AS 200 uses the same underpinnings and the same 199.5cc single cylinder engine. But the AS 200 has a single projector light and pretty conventional looking mudguard which the NS 200 didn’t have.
We are sad that the Pulsar will no longer be there. But hey! Don’t they say change is the only constant? So while we bid adieu to the old with a heavy heart, we also welcome the new with a big smile.
