IGP: No kidnapping occurred, but we'll probe assault

Inspector-General of Police Khalid Abu Bakar today clarified that his men have acted on all police reports lodged by S Deepa and her ex-husband Izwan Abdullah but is unable to act on their child custody dispute. Khalid said police have four open investigation papers on Deepa's police report including accusation that Izwan had assaulted Deepa and that he had violated an interim protection order.
