Turkish troops killed in remote-controlled mine attack

Two Turkish soldiers have been killed after a mine exploded as a military convoy made its way through Sirnak province in southeast Turkey.
Authorities say the devise was detonated by remote-control as the vehicles were winding through the Arakoy region, close to the border with Iraq and Syria.

The security services have accused the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party of carrying out the attack.
No group has claimed responsibility.
Turkish authorities say military bases also came under PKK attack in the neighbouring Hakkari province.
Violence has flared between Turkish troops and PKK fighters after 32 pro-Kurdish activists were killed last month in a town close to the Syrian border.
The Turkish government claims the attack was carried out by ISIL.
The PKK blame the Turkish authorities.
