Clarketown (also known as 'Clarkey and the Allstars' when the big band is put together for special events) are an ensemble of musicians in the Far North. Based mainly on the Atherton Tablelands the band plays a wide selection of styles that see them play everything from rodeo shows to rainforest festivals, trios to 7 piece line-ups. The last attempt to label a genre style by the band resulted in retro, roots, rablerousers, funkabilly rock.Featuring Peter Clarke (Clarkey) on lead vocals and acoustic and electric guitar, Paul Brandon on vocals & bass, David Breeze on vocals and acoustic and electric guitar and Jen Fengler on drums.
Swung not spun, Clarkey and the AllStars are mind bogglingly eclectic, delivering chattanooga rhythms and dastardly grooves for your hooves, this band swings,with everything from Django Rinehart to country, bluegrass, funk, reggae and of course, rock'n' roll!
