Futuro Incierto is a band of punk rock/ melodic hardcore formed in Barranco, an artistic suburb of Lima, Perú in the early 90's by Pedro Allemant.
The band have managed to survive for 25 years, overcoming the difficulties posed form a group at the time due to lack of production, accessibility to musical instruments, lack of support against the prejudice of playing punk rock into a country where is more popular salsa and latin music.
While their earlier work was aligned with the hardcore style and strong lyrics about social situation, injustice system, crisis, living in an uncertain context, terrorism and the lack of opportunities. In later years Futuro Incierto records have moved towards a more melodic sound and personal lyrics touching the sensitive side of the existence, being human as element of imperfection and complexity.
The band's early releases were several cassettes, “Nueva vision”,ep by Wardance Records (NY) and cds. Most of which were re-released in different countries. They performed some international gigs around such as a "South American Tour Picnic 2000” in Chile, Argentina y Uruguay plus some videos as "Si tú no estás" which spread through different media such as MTV, shows the maturity acquired through the years and more followers within the underground scene in that time.
The members of Futuro incierto are Papa Romano (Guitar), Yorch Arteaga (Bass/voice), Rubén Patiño (Drums) and Pedro Allemant (Guitar/voice). They are currently located between Spain, EEUU and Australia. The band, however, decided to continue independently despite of having a distance each other.
