We unbox two Nintendo amiibo figures, Mario and Kirby, and they meet the rest of our amiibo friends for some playtime! Reagan unboxes both Mario and Kirby, then gives them her signature reboxing back into their original packaging! After reboxing and unboxing them again, Reagan introduces Mario and Kirby to her other amiibo figures Princess Peach (from Super Mario Bros.), Mega Man, Sonic the Hedgehog, Captain Falcon (from F-Zero), Samus (from Metroid), Link, and Zelda! She plays by stacking the amiibo packages and pairing each amiibo with another special friend! Which is your favorite amiibo?

The Kirby and Mario amiibo figures are from “wave 1” of Nintendo’s amiibo line of toys. Amiibo figures are much like Skylanders or Disney Infinity figures in that they are used with different Nintendo video games to unlock new features in the game. Amiibo figures represent characters from many different Nintendo franchises, including Super Mario Bros., Legend of Zelda, Metroid, F-Zero, Star Fox, Donkey Kong, Kirby, Pokemon, Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing, Wii Fit, Kid Icarus, Super Mario Galaxy, Pikmin, Xenoblade, Game and Watch, Wario Ware, Earthbound and Punch-Out! Can you believe that there are no Waluigi or Ridley amiibo figures?

Current and future games in which you can use amiibo figures are Mario Kart 8, Hyrule Warriors, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, Ace Combat Assault Horizon Legacy +, Code Name: STEAM, Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, Yoshi’s Wooly World, Mario Party 10 and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo Wii U and 3DS. Just don’t forget that the official plural of amiibo is not “amiibos” but either "amiibo figures" or just "amiibo!"

Mario is a fictional video game character owned by Nintendo and created by Shigeru Miyamoto. Mario is Nintendo’s mascot. He's a cheerful plumber who lives in the Mushroom Kingdom with his brother Luigi and his friends Yoshi, Toad, Toadette, Rosalina, Luma, and Princess Peach. They use items like a mushroom, fire flower and tanooki suit to protect the Mushroom Kingdom from the evil King Koopa, Bowser, and his minions including goombas, Bowser Jr. and the rest of Bowser’s koopalings!

Mario is most famous for the game Super Mario Bros., but he also appears in several other successful Nintendo games such as Donkey Kong, Mario Kart, Super Mario World, Super Mario Land, New Super Mario Bros., Dr. Mario, Paper Mario, Punch-Out!, Golf, Mario Tennis, Mario Golf, Mario Strikers, Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Summer Games, Super Mario 64, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario RPG, and the less successful Mario is Missing! You can find video games starring Mario on the NES (Famicom), SNES (Super Famicom), N64, GameCube, Wii, Wii U, GameBoy, GameBoy Color, GameBoy Advance, Nintendo DS, 3DS, Game & Watch, Atari 2600, Colecovision Phillips CDi and arcade! Mario also appeared in many TV shows and even a Super Mario Bros. movie starring Bob Hoskins!

Kirby is a fictional video game character owned by Nintendo and created by HAL Laboratory. Kirby is a cute, pink puffball who floats and can eat anything. Kirby and his hamster friend Rick protect Dreamland from King Dedede and other enemies such as the Nightmare Wizard, Necrodus, Marx and Meta Knight! Kirby first appeared in Kirby’s Dreamland on GameBoy.

Some of Kirby’s most notable games were Kirby Super Star, Kirby Mass Attack, Kirby’s Adventure, Kirby 64: the Crystal Shards, Kirby’s Avalanche, Kirby: Canvas Curse, Kirby’s Epic Yarn, Kirby’s Dream Course, Kirby Air Ride, Kirby Triple Deluxe and Kirby and the Rainbow Curse.
