Battlefield 4 PC FPS comparison - GTX 970 at 1440p and 1080p - ultra settings
  • 9 years ago
I created this video for one of my subscribers, who was interested in how Battlefield 4 performs on a single GTX 970 at 1440p. The video shows Battlefield 4 on the PC running at both 1080p and 1440p. Everything is set to Ultra, all processing such as AA set as high as it can go :)

The difference between the two resolutions is generally in the region of 30 fps. Both resolutions result in a FPS dip when the game autosaves - this would really benefit from being installed to my SSD in hindsight.

GSYNC also makes a massive difference - even though 1440p GSYNC monitors are pricey. 1080p GSYNC monitors are more wallet friendly and there's absolutely nothing wrong with playing at 1080p - the money saved could be put towards extra SSD storage.

The game is running at on my Intel i7 4790K, 16GB RAM and a Gigabyte G1 gaming GTX 970.
