What is the mHealth Grand Tour?
The Tour is a cycle race across Europe, from Brussels to Geneva via Paris from 3rd to 12th September 2015. Far more than just a fun experience, above all it’s about setting a challenge for cyclists suffering from type 1 and 2 diabetes. They will make up the peloton of the mHealth Grand Tour in order to help raise awareness of diabetes and the innovative mobile health solutions that can help to improve management of the condition.
During the Tour, a group of key international players including Orange as well as innovative start-ups will put unprecedented technical solutions in place, designed to help the riders through a programme of personalised medical support. Following the Tour, the data collected from the medical monitoring of the riders will be analysed as part of a retrospective observational study.
