Three of Korea's premier rock bands - Galaxy Express, 3rd Line Butterfly and Asian Chairshot - gave an acoustic spin to their representative songs for ONSTAGE [K]. No electricity required. We're going to introduce you to the raw, unplugged beauty of music.
Galaxy Express
Galaxy Express is a three-member rock band comprised of Lee Joo-hyun, Park Jong-hyun and Kim Hee-kwon. Formed in 2006, the trio is known for their aggressive music and stage manners. They are the first Korean rock band to be invited to South by Southwest for three straight years and also the first in the country to embark on a US tour of 25 cities in 14 states, playing a crucial role in introducing Korean rock to the world.
3rd Line Butterfly
3rd Line Butterfly is a 4-member band comprised of Nam Sang-ah, Sung Ki-wan, Kim Nam-yoon and Seo Hyun-jeong. Upon debuting in 1999, the foursome won acclaim for their trademark dreamy, velvety sounds. The band made themselves better known to the public by taking part in the soundtrack of the drama "Ruler of Your Own World" in 2002.
Asian Chairshot
Asian Chairshot is a 3-member band comprised of Park Kye-wan, Son Hee-nam and Hwang Young-won. They debuted in 2013 with the EP, "Mask," and are currently pursuing diverse activities with the new album, "Rain Shower," produced by Jeff Schroeder from The Smashing Pumpkins.
