Brothers revolves around the story of broken family, set in the world of underground street fighting and mixed martial arts. A former streetfighter and alcoholic, Gary Fernandez is back home after serving time in prison for ten years. His sons Monty and David parted ways and are bitterly estranged. On one hand, David is a fighter turned teacher, who works hard to make ends meet.
Financial troubles drive back David into the world of street fighting. Monty, who is an alcoholic, who is also a street fighter is quite active, nonetheless he lacks determination and focus. He yearns for respect, love and acceptance of his family.
Now, from what we see, we can say that Brothers is yet another attempt by the ace filmmaker Karan Johar at a shift from his normal genres. Guess…he is just another Box Office ruler!
