St. Louis Cardinals Become Subjects Of FBI Hacking Investigation

The St. Louis Cardinals are being investigated for allegedly hacking into the Houston Astros’ computer network to get a look at top-secret, lineup-related information.

Sports teams typically gain advantage by cultivating extraordinary athletic talent, but the FBI believes the St. Louis Cardinals may have focused on a skill of a different kind. 

The organization is being investigated for allegedly hacking into the Houston Astros' computer network to get a look at top-secret, lineup-related information. 

According to the New York Times, information including scouting reports, statistics, and trade discussions all showed evidence of compromise. 

The names of specific Cardinals personnel being investigated wasn’t released,  but it's noted the suspected hackers are front-office officials.&
