Customs confiscated items reborn as gifts
The accumulated items seized by Korean customs have exceeded 900 million dollars in value. Although they have to be discarded according to regulations, there are high associated costs and environmental damage in their disposal. Recently, the Korea Customs Service made news by donating confiscated shoes to children in Mongolia. The disposal of confiscated items is an issue that deserves closer attention to seek more environmentally friendly and economical solutions.
