Of the 4200 migrants rescued in the Mediterranean on Friday, 400 continue to arrive in Italian ports this Sunday. A total of 22 operations involving ships from Italy, Ireland, Germany, Belgium and Great Britain rescued the migrants from fishing boats and rubber dinghies. While the nationality of the migrants has not been disclosed, many come from Libya where the country has fallen apart after the bombing campaign to overthrow Muamar Gadafi in 2011. Last month alone an estimated 800 migrants drowned off the Libyan coast. teleSUR
