Typhoon Sendong hits Cagayan De Oro, Iligan City

Rising waters in the dead of night. Residents of Cagayan De Oro and Iligan City in the island of Mindanao, who are unused to storms, fought to save their lives and belongings as Typhoon Sendong brought heavy rains on the weekend of mid-December 2011. The aftermath unveiled the destruction wrought by one of the worst storms to hit the Philippines in recent history.
