On January 28, 2009, seven DEPED employees were on their way to deliver Christmas bonuses to the public school teachers of Rodriquez, Rizal when they were robbed by two armed men. A total of P4.9 million worth ofcash was stolen.
For four months, theauthorities had no lead. Little did they know that this robbery was just the start of a bloodier series of crimes.
