Syrian Kurdish politician killed by car bomb

A Syrian Kurdish politician was assassinated by a car bomb on July 30. According to Reuters, Isa Huso was leaving his house in the Syrian town of Al Qamishli when a bomb planted in his car exploded. Local media reported that the bomb was placed underneath the front part of the vehicle. A female passerby was slightly injured from the explosion.
Huso was highly influential politician and a member of the foreign relations committee in the Higher Kurdish Council, a group formed to unite Syrian Kurdish parties.
