A man from Redding, northern California, who stabbed his father before cutting off own hands pleaded not guilty to an attempted murder charge.

The attack took place on June 17, when Jason Dunn and his father reportedly had an argument during which he stabbed his father multiple times. He then used a radial saw to cut off both his hands. A neighbor called the police after hearing the dispute. Officers found the elder Dunn lying on the driveway with multiple stab wounds and Jason Dunn standing nearby with both hands severed at the wrists. A preliminary hearing for this case is scheduled for Aug 15.
