6 killed, 24 wounded in separate attacks targeting civilians in Iraq

Two bomb attacks killed 6 people and wounded 24 others mainly in Sunni districts in Baghdad on August 16.

According to Reuters, one of the bombs exploded inside a coffee shop in Ghazaliya neighbourhood next to a popular playground in western Baghdad. The blast killed 5 people and 17 others were injured.

It was reported that, in a separate attack on the same day, a person was killed and 7 were wounded when a bomb went off near a Sunni mosque in Saayidia district in southwestern Baghdad.
