Shocking photo: Horse smashes into car, driver lucky to be alive

The photo is shocking and hard to believe. It depicts an accident between horse and car that took place on September 17, 2013, on State Route 305 near Belfast.
The accident began when the horse, which belong to Enos Troyer and lived on an Amish farm in Belfast, got loose a foggy morning. Enos Troyer gave chase and pursue the galloping horse down State Route 305.
Visibility must have been low for Crystal Malota, the driver of a white sedan also traveling along State Route 305 that morning. In the fog, the horse collided with the car. You can see it's back end and tail sticking out the windshield.
Crystal Malota escaped the accident with cuts and abrasions and was treated at hospital. The horse was not so lucky. It died at the scene.
