Killer cannibal rats on Russian ghost ship headed for UK
  • 9 years ago
A Russian ghost ship lost in the North Atlantic Ocean and home to hundreds of cannibalistic rats is drifting toward the UK coastline, satellite tracking data suggests.

The 300-foot Lyubov Orlova, a Russian Arctic research and leisure vessel hit hard times in 2010 when its owner went bankrupt, prompting its unpaid Russian crew to abandon ship.

It was then headed for a Caribbean scrap heap but the Canadian tug's tow-line snapped, leaving it drifting in the Atlantic where winds are pushing it toward the British Isles.

Its only passengers now are hordes of ravenous, emaciated rodents forced to feed off each others' diseased flesh. The rats are obviously waiting with great anticipation for their chance to gorge on the nutritious fat of pasty, potato-shaped Brits.
