Japanese-Korean baby death: Korean mother charged with murder in Osaka

A Korean mother in her 30s was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly beating her four-month-old son to death in Sumiyoshi-ku, Osaka. The accused woman, Yong Soon Kim, is charged with unleashing a fierce attack on her fourth son's head on the afternoon of August 24. The infant, Riku Kishimoto, is said to have died of broken skull bones and internal bleeding in the head.

The crime did not come to light until Kim herself called for an ambulance. According to an Osaka Police investigation, Kim was the only person caught by security camera to have been coming in and out of the scene of the crime. However, she has denied the murder, claiming that she did nothing but chuck him gently.
