Algerian military plane crash kills all 103 onboard

An Algerian military transport plane crashed in the country's mountainous northeast on Tuesday (February 11), killing all 103 people aboard.

The Hercules C-130 was bound for Constantine from Ouargla. Contact with the jet was lost midway near Oum el-Bouaghi.

The plane was flying in poor weather conditions when its wing clipped a mountain and crashed, according to an Algerian radio station. All 99 passengers aboard, including soldiers and their families, as well as four crew members, were killed.

Ambulances were sent to the crash site.
