Walmart shooting: Argument in Arizona store ends with fatal shooting
  • 9 years ago
An argument in an Arizona Walmart ended in bloodshed after a man was shot and killed on Sunday afternoon, according to an AP report.

Police questioned Kyle Wayne Quadley, 25, but did not charge him in the fatal shooting of Kriston Charles Belinte Chee, 36, at a Walmart store in suburban Phoenix. Chandler, police say, acted in self-defense.

Quadlin and Chee got into an argument in front of the store's service counter just after 4 pm. The argument between the two strangers escalated into an all-out brawl.

Chee allegedly got the upper hand, and Quadlin, fearing for his life pulled out a gun and shot Chee, before fleeing the store.

Investigators reviewing security camera footage agree with Quadlin's version of events.

"Just like what the guy said, he was not winning," said police spokesman Joe Favazzo. "It's going to come down to what the witnesses have to say."
