Police in a Houston suburb are asking for help identifying a driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run early on Thursday, according to a Houston Chronicle report.

Driving a gray or silver-colored four-door vehicle around 2:30 a.m., the suspect struck a 45-year-old League City man, riding a bicycle.

A nearby driver called emergency officials who rushed the injured cyclist to a nearby hospital.

Suffering from serious injuries to the head, the man was later pronounced dead. The identity of the cyclist has yet to be revealed, pending family notification.

In surveillance footage taken in front of a gated community shortly after the crash, a female driver is seen repairing damage to her vehicle with the help of a security guard.

Authorities are asking the public to help identify the driver.

"This is all we have to go on at this point," said police spokesperson Reagan Pena, according to the report. "We'd like to find this woman and talk to her."
